It’s Nice to Have a Friend! Or–Why Location Is So Important
So often when I stress location, location, location, I see a glazed look in the eyes of my clients. It is like they are saying: “DUH–we watch HGTV, too!” But I have decided I am not explaining myself correctly. I am not just saying that the home has to be close to work or on a quiet street. Those are givens. Those are the “DUH” factors.
The neighborhoods I most admire here on the Main Line are those where the families have a real comraderie. Where they genuinely like one another and enjoy socializing together. Not all the same ages, or political slants or educational backgrounds. But similar in basic beliefs about money, where to raise kids and how much to emphasize education. With varied and interesting jobs and hobbies. People you would like to have as friends.
