Sage - Your Exclusive Buyer Agent for Paoli Real Estate
Paoli is a mid-point between the original area known as the Main Line and its newer communities to the west. A busy AMTRAC station centers the town, which is the subject of a bold development idea. The centerpiece of the master plan is the proposed Paoli Transportation Center. Replacing the current small brick train station, the center would more efficiently connect rail, bus, auto and pedestrian traffic and serve as the focal point for the neighborhoods.

Many historic and significant sites can be found in and around Paoli. There is a memorial to the famous Paoli Massacre, when the British led by Lord Grey launched a devastating strike into General Anthony Wayne's unprepared American camp. Justdown the road is Historic Waynesborough, Anthony Wayne's eighteenth-century estate. The estate is now used as the perfect setting for special occasions. Tucked away to the North is Wharton Esherwicks' hilltop studio and residence. Esherwick was a sculptor who worked primarily in wood. His studio now serves as a museum of his work. Located on the way to the museum is Diamond Rock Schoolhouse - an historic octagonal one-room school. This one room historic site was used as a school house from 1818 to 1864.
Paoli offers a cross between the convenience of suburban life with the pastoral and historic elements of Chester County.
