Sage - Your Exclusive Buyer Agent for Media Real Estate
Media is the seat of Delaware County and one of the hotest areas for home buying because of its thriving town with its art galleries and night life. Although the main line train line does not pass through Media, another suburban line does, as well as a trolley that adds an "old-time" feel to the town. Nearby Wallingford has a well--recognized and excellent school system that draws many young families. The terrain in this part of the Philadelphia suburbs is particularly attractive, with many mature trees and rolling roads.

Media is home to The Media Theatre, first opened in 1927 as a vaudeville house, and is now The Media Theatre for the Performing Arts. In 2006, Media became the first US town to attain fair trade certification. To attain the certification the town had to meet many criteria one of which is to serve fair trade coffee and tea in the local government offices. Tyler Arboretum is located in Media. The arboretum was originally started, in 1825, as a private collection by brothers Jacob and Minshall Painter. They planted over 1,000 varieties of trees and shrubs. Today over 20 of the original trees still live, including a giant sequoia. The town slogan is "Everybody's Hometown".
